What Are Cookies

Browser Storage We Use
This site sets no cookies of its own. It stores a small number of values in your browser's local storage, and third parties may set their own cookies — see the Third-Party section below:
Functional Local Storage (No Tracking)
These entries live in your browser's local storage, are never used for tracking or advertising, and are not sent to our servers. You can clear them at any time by clearing site data for this domain:
- Language preference (key "locale"): Records the last language you chose. The language you actually see is determined by the page address, so this entry is not currently used to restore your choice on a later visit.
- Cookie consent (local storage key "botique_cookie_consent"): Stores your consent choices and the date you made them.
- Accessibility settings (local storage key "botique_accessibility_preferences"): Remembers options such as reduced motion, text size and contrast.
- Exit prompt (key "exitIntentDismissed"): Records when you dismissed the exit prompt, so it stays hidden for the next seven days. The entry itself remains until you clear site data; only its effect expires.
Analytics Cookies (Opt-in)
These cookies help us understand how visitors use our website:
- Usage statistics and page views. IP anonymisation is enabled, but Google Analytics still assigns your browser an identifier, so this data is pseudonymous rather than truly anonymous.
- Website performance metrics
Analytics cookies are only set if you consent via our cookie banner.
Marketing (Opt-in, Currently Unused)
The preferences panel offers a Marketing toggle and stores your choice, but this site runs no advertising or marketing scripts, so nothing currently reads it. It is disclosed here because the control exists, not because anything acts on it:
- No marketing or advertising cookies are set, whichever way the toggle is left.
Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies may be set by third-party services we use:
- Cloudflare: Security and performance cookies
- Google Analytics: Sets its own cookies in your browser, and only after you accept analytics.
- Google Fonts: Serves our typefaces and sets no cookies, though your browser may contact Google to fetch them.
How Long Entries Last
These lifespans apply:
- Google Analytics cookies: Set by Google only after you opt in, with lifetimes governed by Google's own settings.
- Our local-storage entries (language, consent, accessibility, exit prompt): Kept in your browser until you clear site data. Your consent choice is re-requested after one year, and the exit prompt reappears after seven days.
Managing Cookies
You can control cookies in several ways:
- Cookie Banner: Use our cookie banner to accept or reject non-essential cookies
- Cookie Preferences: Click "Cookie Preferences" in the footer to change your settings
- Browser Settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies
- Global Privacy Control: Analytics and marketing are off by default for everyone, so nothing is loaded until you actively opt in. If your browser sends a GPC signal we surface that in the banner; you never have to send one to be left untracked.
Do Not Track
We do not act on the legacy Do Not Track (DNT) browser header, which browser vendors have largely deprecated. We do read Global Privacy Control (GPC) and show you when it is detected. Either way it makes no difference to what loads: analytics and marketing are off unless you actively turn them on, and every optional switch starts in the off position.
